Join Us on July 17th, 9AM - 4PM in Fort Washington, Maryland for our New Roots Wellness Retreat for Black Leaders. Your registration reserves your place in a sacred and intentional gathering created for Black leaders who are ready to rest, reconnect, and be restored.

This retreat is an opportunity to step away from constant responsibility and return to yourself. Together, we will share in guided reflection, gentle movement, meaningful conversation, herbal wisdom, and practices that nourish the body, steady the nervous system, and honor the spirit. There will be space to think clearly, breathe deeply, and remember why you began this work in the first place.

Your investment includes breakfast and lunch prepared to nourish you, along with two complimentary spa services to support your physical and energetic restoration. All retreat materials and wellness experiences are included. The exact address will be provided upon registration.

Space is limited to ensure an intimate experience.This retreat is intentionally designed as a small gathering. We keep the group size limited so that the space remains intimate, grounded, and conducive to meaningful connection.

Wellness Retreat Terms & Conditions

By registering for a GroCharity Wellness Retreat, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Registration & Payment

Full payment, or an approved payment plan deposit if applicable, is required to reserve your space. Registration is confirmed once payment has been received.

Because our retreats are intentionally designed as small, intimate gatherings, space is limited. We plan meals, spa services, materials, and facilitator support in advance based on confirmed attendance.

Refund Policy

All retreat registrations are non-refundable.

We understand that life happens. However, due to the advance commitments we make to venues, catering, spa providers, and materials, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason, including scheduling conflicts, travel disruptions, illness, or personal emergencies.

If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your registration to another eligible participant up to 14 days prior to the retreat start date. Transfer requests must be submitted in writing and approved by GroCharity. After that deadline, transfers cannot be accommodated.

We encourage participants to secure travel insurance if desired.

Retreat Inclusions

Registration includes retreat programming, facilitated sessions, retreat materials, daily breakfast and lunch, and two complimentary spa services. Lodging details, if included, will be outlined in your specific retreat information.

Travel expenses are the responsibility of each participant unless otherwise noted.

Health & Personal Responsibility

Retreat activities may include gentle movement, breathwork, spa services, and other wellness practices. By attending, you affirm that you are physically and emotionally able to participate and take responsibility for your own well-being.

GroCharity does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. Retreat offerings are educational and wellness-centered in nature.

Community Agreements

We are committed to maintaining a respectful, confidential, and culturally grounded environment. Participants agree to engage with integrity and care for the shared space.

GroCharity reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is harmful or disruptive to the collective experience. No refund will be issued in such cases.

Changes, Cancellation & Force Majeure

GroCharity reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to the retreat schedule, facilitators, spa offerings, or location if necessary.

In the event that the retreat must be canceled due to circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to acts of nature, severe weather, government orders, public health emergencies, venue closures, travel restrictions, or other force majeure events — GroCharity will offer either:

  • A credit toward a future retreat, or

  • A refund of registration fees, less any non-recoverable expenses already incurred.

GroCharity is not responsible for participant travel costs or accommodations affected by such events.
